12th Annual DCWOA Woodland Owners Conference
"Managing Habitat for Future Generations" will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Dauphin County Agricultural and Natural Resources Center in Dauphin, PA.
The conference will feature six professional experts presenting woodland related topics:
- Timbering and Silviculture
- Native Shrub and Tree Identification
- Watershed Management for Trout
- Reintroduction of the American Marten
- Surveying Your Woodland
- Wildlife Habitat Management in Central PA
Attendees will have the opportunity to question this diverse panel of experts and walk away with invaluable information.
Lunch details – We are offering a boxed lunch for attendees at a cost of $10 per person. Lunch will consist of a sub sandwich of your choice, coleslaw, chips, a slice of cake, and drink. Please indicate on your conference reservation if you plan to purchase lunch and your choice of sub.

DCWOA Annual Woods Walk
Located at Rob Fritchey’s Fishing Creek Valley preserved property. *Note: We will meet at Mike & Glenda Thomas’ property (1109 N. Fairville Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17112) at 9:00 am to carpool over Blue Mountain to the Fritchey property.
The Picnic/Social will take place following the return of carpooling Members Walk participants to the Thomas property.
Members and guests are NOT required to participate in the Members Walk to attend the Annual Picnic/Social which will begin at approximately 1:00 pm.

8th Annual Statewide "Walk in Penn's Woods"
DCWOA & Manada Conservancy cosponsor this walk organized by The Pennsylvania Forestry Association. 1:00 pm, location and additional information will follow.
Thursday, October 10 - 6:00 pm.
DCWOA 21 st Annual Membership Meeting (election of officers & board, state of the organization, program) 6:30 pm. Social, 7:00 pm meeting. Dauphin County Conservation and Natural Resources building, Dauphin, PA – Program Presentation and Guest Speaker to be announced.
